Chewing gum was discovered by accident (like most things). The chemist who invented it was trying to make rubber more durable but ended up with chewing gum!

Todays useless fact: Every day we eat and drink poisons. It doesn't kill us as the dosage isn't high enough but 100 cups of water or 40 cups of coffee would be fatal if consumed all in an hour or two.
